This course will introduce a range of mental health issues. During the course, participants will understand the first-response approach of helping others and learn how to respond to people who are experiencing mental health concerns.

Time: 10:00 am – 4:30 pm (2 days -12 hours)
Content: – Understand the basic concepts of ‘Mental Health First Aid’.
– Identify the symptoms, causes and treatments of common mental illnesses, such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse and schizophrenia.
– Understand the importance of mental problems, crisis management and early intervention.
– Provide appropriate support and effective and safe assistance before mental health deteriorates.
– Assist the client in seeking professional treatment, personal counseling or use appropriate community resources to rebuild self-confidence.

Remarks: – Participants will receive the ‘MHFA Manual’.
– After completing the 2-day training course, participants will receive the ‘MHFA Certificate of Completion’.
– Participants who complete the accreditation assessment will receive the ‘MHFA Certificate of Accreditation’.
