Living with Cancer Program ­ Information & Support Meetings (ISM)

This program is tailor made for the newly diagnosed cancer patients and their carers. Doctors, nurses, dietitians, psychologists, social workers are invited to deliver talks covering topics such as Understanding Cancer; Radiotherapy & Chemotherapy: Side effects and Aftercare; Looking after Patient’s Nutrition & Diet; Appropriate Use of Chinese Medicine in Cancer Treatment; Community Resources; Overcoming Stress & Anxiety…etc. Following each meeting in the program, patients and carers attend separate support groups. This program is now run twice a year in February and July at the City Centre. To meet the increasing demand, this program is also run in the Southern Centre and Liverpool Hospital once per year.
