Our visiting team has extended its service to five hospitals including: St. George Hospital, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Concord Repatriation General Hospital, Westmead Hospital, and Liverpool Hospital. Volunteers visit the oncology departments of these hospitals on a weekly basis. For Royal North Shore Hospital, visits are organised by appointments. By conducting regular visits at these hospitals, we hope to reach out to more cancer patients and their families. Details of the service are as follows:
Home visits are designed to focus on those patients and carers who may be socially isolated or in need of ongoing support in their own homes. Often, when patients are receiving palliative care treatment, our specially trained volunteers visit to provide emotional and moral support to them and their families.
