  • Three founders (Priscilla Wong, Rose Yeung & Eleanor Yip), planned for the setting up of CanRevive
  • 1995

  • Official opening of CanRevive Centre on 7 July 1995 at 7/770 George Street, Sydney

  • Set up the first Cantonese Cancer Support Group

  • 1996
  • First Anniversary Fund Raising Dinner (thereafter held annually in June)
  • First Annual Information Luncheon
  • 1998
  • Commenced regular hospital visit service at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital
  • 2001
  • Set up “Care Group” to support new patients
  • 2003
  • CanRevive Centre moved to permanent premises at 741 George Street, Sydney and launched its first publication “Love at CanRevive”
  • Set up the first Mandarin-speaking Support Group
  • Extended regular hospital visit service to St George Hospital
  • First “Living with Cancer” program in collaboration with Cancer Council NSW and South East Sydney Area Health Services
  • 2004
  • Endorsed by Australian Taxation Office as a deductible gift recipient (DGR)
  • Establish first Carer Support Program with funding from NSW Department of Health
  • Established website: www.canrevive.com
  • 2005
  • Celebrated10th Anniversary Dinner at Westin Hotel and published the 10th Anniversary Commemorative Book
  • 2006
  • Published first quarterly newsletter
  • Set up separate support groups for newly diagnosed patients and carers
  • 2007
  • Employed first full time staff to oversee support services with funding from Cancer Council NSW
  • 2008
  • Official opening of Southern (Hurstville) Centre
  • Set up the first Bereavement Support Group for carers
  • Set up the first cancer type support group – Breast Cancer Support Group
  • 2010
  • Set up the first Cantonese-speaking Cancer Support Group in Southern Centre
  • Extended regular hospital visit service to Concord and Westmead Hospitals
  • Commenced home visit service for patients in palliative care
  • 2011
  • Established CanRevive Cancer Foundation
  • Launched corporate logo
  • 2012
  • Extended support services to South West Sydney with a 2-years grant from the Australian Government
  • Extended hospital visit service to Liverpool Hospital
  • 2013
  • Extended hospital visit service to Royal North Shore Hospital
  • Extended support services to Northern Sydney
  • 2015
  • Celebrated 20th Anniversary Dinner at Westin Hotel and published the 20th Anniversary Commemorative Book
  • 2020
  • Due to COVID-19 restrictions, 25th Anniversary Celebration had to be cancelled. Published the 25th Anniversary Commemorative Book
  • 2021
  • Signed MOU with Chris O’Brien Lifehouse
  • 2022
  • Opened West Sydney Centre at Westmead
  • Signed MOU with Australian Chinese Nursing Home Foundation
