HURSTVILLE OFFICE

Sydney's Southern Region Cancer Patients & Survivors Support Group (Cantonese)

Date: 19 to 25 June 2013 (Every Tuesday)

Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm

Cancer Patients Support Group: For Cantonese speaking cancer patients (less than 2 years from diagnosis and did not previously attend this particular support group) and their carers who live in the southern area of Sydney.

Cancer Survivors Support Group: For Cantonese speaking cancer survivors (who graduated from the cancer patients support group or relapsed) and their carers who live in the southern area of Sydney.

Meditation Workshop (Mandarin) - sponsored by Kogarah City Council

Date: 21 June 2013 to 12 July 2013 (Every Friday for 4 weeks)

Topic: Meditation exercises and practices

Language: Cantonese

Appealing for Office-based Duty Volunteer in our Hurstville Office!

Aims:

To assist the day to day operation of CanRevive's Hurstville Office & Resource Centre and to provide information and support services for cancer patients and their carers who live in the southern part of Sydney.

Selection Criteria:

*Must be able to communicate fluently in Cantonese or Mandarin and understands English;

*Willing to be rostered for duty at least one day per week (Roster Time: 10am to 2.30pm);

*With love and a sense of responsibility;

*Priority will be given to cancer survivors, carers and medical/social services professionals;

*The applicant is willing to undertake criminal check; and

*Complete the training course provided by CanRevive.
